Interested in becoming Swell Press's FIRST intern? Great. Please read the following and fill out the form below. I don't need a resume or a cover letter. Rather, I'm hoping you'll use the below fields to prove that you are a hard-worker, have a genuine interest in letterpress or craftsmanship, and are overall a pleasant human.

Unpaid. Begins mid-April (flexible, can start later). Asking for a minimum of 2 1/2 months at the very least.

Requires a minimum of 16 hours of work a week. This can be done with a few hours a day, or a 2 to 3 full days per week. A vast portion, if not all, of this work will take place in our Torrance, CA studio. Therefore, only local Southern California applicants who are able to commute to the studio will be considered.

What will you get out of it? You'll get a great insight to behind-the-scenes operations of running a small business. You'll be in charge of some daily operations as well as larger scope projects. You'll be in charge of quality control and packing and shipping orders. You'll learn to mix Pantone colors to formula. Also, I'm taking suggestions on how to make sure this is a mutually beneficial internship. I'd like to hear your thoughts on that below.

I will respond to internship applications in 7 - 10 business days.
