We’ve compiled a few quick points below to aid you in the ordering process:

When should I order my invitations?

We recommend ordering your invitations at least six to eight weeks before you’d like to have them in hand to mail out. A typical mailing timeline is eight weeks before your wedding date for local weddings or ten to twelve weeks for destination weddings. You should also add in a buffer for you to assemble, stamp, seal, and mail your invitations once you receive your order. 

This general timeline is based on receiving your feedback in a timely manner (2-3 business days). If it takes longer to receive your feedback, your suite will be pushed further back into our revision queue, which will extend the timeline accordingly and push the plate proof date and production timeline further back as well. 

If you would like to receive your invitations faster than the standard timeline mentioned above, please email us at hi@swellpresspaper.com. This may be possible with an added rush production fee, which begins at 25% of the order total.

How many invitations should I order?

Remember that your total invitation count is for the number of households rather than guests. We always recommend ordering at least 5-10 extras for keepsakes, for the photographer to shoot on the wedding day, and extras in case any are lost in the mail. 

What ink and paper color options do you offer? Can I mix and match colors? 

Any and all color combinations are possible. You are welcome to share your color palette with us and we can offer suggestions! There is no additional charge for a custom color way. Designs are priced assuming the same letterpress ink color on all pieces, with the exception of foil or digital printing. 

How do I purchase my invitations?

To purchase your suite, please email us at hi@swellpresspaper.com so we can put a proposal together for you. If you can share which Collection you’d like to choose, what pieces you want to include, and how many sets you will need, that can get us started.

How do I share the wording? Can you help me with that?

Once we receive your order, we will send a project kickoff form by email where you can share all the details needed, plus any specific wording you’d like to use. We are happy to make wording suggestions based on the details you share! 

Will you send me a proof before the invitations are printed? 

Yes! Once we receive all the required details and wording for the suite, plus your color choices, we will put together a digital proof of your invitation suite, showing the design exactly as it will be printed. You can then review the digital proof and note any corrections or minor edits to make in our round of revision. Once the revised digital proof is approved, we will send the final plate proof over for your formal approval, and then go into production! As each letterpress piece requires a custom plate to print, we are not able to send a physical proof of your invitation before printing the entire suite.

Do you print guest addresses on the envelopes? 

Yes, we are happy to address the envelopes for you! We will provide an excel template for you to fill out. 

Do you mail the invitations for me?

All invitations are sent unassembled and without postage, unless assembly and / or stamps was specifically requested and included on the invoice. Assembly charges vary depending on the method, number of items, etc. If you did not request assembly, our default packaging method is shipping everything wrapped separately -- i.e. a stack of invitations, a stack of RSVP cards, etc.

Can I order event day items like programs, menus, place cards, and signage in the style of the Collection suites? 

Yes! We offer event day options for our Collection suites as well.

I have a question not answered here. Can we set up a call to talk about my suite?

We are happy to answer any questions via email or a scheduled phone call. We can reply to emails within 48 hours, and our wait list for phone calls is 1-2 weeks. Collection suite phone calls are limited to one 15 minute call per order.
