WOW. Jessie and John’s wedding was a citrus Ojai DREAM. The bright yellows and (literal) oranges paired with natural wood and subdued grey made for a magical backdrop for their big day.

We designed everything with Gather Events for this stunning couple, starting from the save the dates and working together for nearly a year to design their invitation suite as well as their day-of paper goods and signage. Save the dates are guests’ first experience of what the wedding will be like, so we kept it fun with a take on the pronunciation of ‘Ojai’ (“oh, hi!”) pressed in faint grey to make the texture of the oranges pop, with orange lettering and orange edges. We went a little more formal with the invitation suite, with copper foil and a medium grey ink. The inserts were all assembled with a thick vellum band, with a springtime floral pattern mimicking the area’s foliage blowing in the breeze. Nicole Miyuki’s gorgeous spot calligraphy added some flair throughout the suite and can be seen in some of the larger pieces at the reception, too! Each menu was letterpressed and finished with a personalized vellum place card, and the large escort card display was adorned with an acrylic header and hand-calligraphed name tags. Our friends over at Spoken Glass did an incredible job laser cutting the day-of items from the large Jessie and John sign, to wooden table numbers, and wooden/acrylic drink signs.

Everything came together in such a beautiful way - we’re so proud to have been part of this group effort. The photos were so beautiful (still can’t get over those florals), we had to include some more shots below!
